Based in Huntingdon, Luminus is involved in all aspects of housing — from letting homes to tenants as a social landlord, to the regeneration of neighbourhoods, focusing on sustainability. An 83% positive score, ranking the organisation second, shows staff find their work stimulating. Employees feel a strong sense of family in their teams, with a positive score of 84%, don't think profit is the only thing driving the firm (85%, second nationally), and they say the housing provider is run on strong principles, giving a 91% score which beats every other company. All employees get together every month for the Luminus conference, hosted by chief executive Chan Abraham, the winner of our special award for leadership. Birthdays and achievements are celebrated and feedback from customers is read out…The workforce has great faith in Abraham (89%), and they find him inspiring (88%). They are welcome to share ideas and comments with Abraham through a staff suggestion box, and can make an appointment to speak to him at any time. Employees believe they can make a valuable contribution to the success of the firm (87%).
